The Warriors Forest is a 4 year old *mostly* traditional warriors role-playing site, set more or less in the old forest (think first series). Though we don't have a Tribe of Rushing Water, we do have all other clans and, of course, loners, rogues, and kittypets. Ranging from beginner to advanced, with lots of intermediate, we have a role-playing school that can help you with anything from mechanics to length. Currently, we have no plot, but hopefully one will be in the making soon. For any further questions, please feel free to ask around or contact any one of the staff, who will be happy to help.

Quailheart

I woke up and saw him, my love, Frostbite. His fur lay flat and I cuddled up next to him, his sent was sweet and airy but I loved it. I walked over to my old bedding and nosed it over to the spot were he lay and combined the mosses. Was I moving to fast, no I have to tell him, if i don't someone else will tell him, this though ran threw my mind, but how.

I pacced across the den fixing the bedding the roof everything. Finally finished I layed down next to Frostbite for a quick rest. My eyes slid open and I flew up in the air what was that, shatter, there it was again. I stuck my head out off the den to see the clan was going on peacefully. After I pulled my head back in and saw a set of eyes in the back of the den, I investigated as I got closer I saw a small head.

I noticed a white stripe and it hit me, "badger!" I screamed as I raced up to wake Frostbite.

Frostbite felt an unfamiler scent sting his nose. His eyelids flew open to see a small grey cat racing toward him. He jumped up and arched his back, then seeing it was only Quailheart her relaxed. The smell was strong in the early morning air. The he remembered Badger! Frostbite scrambled, wide eyed to get every cat out of the warriors den and ready to fight. The lumbering animal crashed through the wall and started to destroy everything. When it appeared in the clearing Frostbite lunged at its eyes and scored his face. The badger swung at him and hit his shoulder, But Frostbite attacked again lunging for its hindleg, and clamping his large jaws down. The badger let out a squeal and jumped at the sourounding cats... A few other cats flung them selves into the battle, finally the badger scrambled away...

Icesoul

I blinked my eyes as the sun first peeked over the horizon. It was hell sleeping out in the clearing, especially when you had greencough. I got it from staying in that clearing of Lilies beyond the border. It was frigid there. Frostbite had saved me before I bled out on the snow. My scars from the thorn bush would scar me for a long time, but already the majority of them were covered with my thick fur.

I licked my chest and looked to the warrior's den. How lucky they are to get a den. It wasn't like I was kicked out of the warrior's den for going beyond the border. I had pleaded Frostbite and Quailheart to say it was between the elm trees near the Two-leg garbage dump. I said some rats had caught me off guard. Nobody doubted that; it wasn't like I couldn't get lost in my thoughts. It happened all too often, actually. I shivered and snotted on my bedding. Great.

I shoved the bedding into the dirty pile and went to retrieve some new bedding from the medicine cat's den. I strode out with the Medicine Cat on my heels snapping to rest and not to waste my energy and blah, blah, blah. I mewed, "Okay." I didn't mean it of course. I was independent and don't need any cat to take care of me. It wasn't like the medicine cat was going to leave her den full of sick cats to care for just one sick cat.

I laid the bedding on the ground near the warriors den. Close enough that I would hear Quailheart if she needed something. I began kneading my bedding. As I was doing this I heard a low rumble. At first I thought it was a hefty cat purring, but as I listened more closely I heard that it sounded hostile. Then I heard the scream. "Badger!"

My stomach clenched and I felt dizzy. "Quailheart!" I leaped from my bedding and ran forward with her claws extended. Half of the badger's butt was exposed and not in the den. My eyes turned cold and my paws were stained red from the badger's blood. I continued to tear at it's flesh. I wouldn't let it harm Quailheart. Not now. Not ever! My claws sunk deep into it's flesh. Suddenly it threw up it's back feet and sent me crashing into a fallen tree. I stared on as the sounds in the den got quiet. "Quailheart?"

Quailheart

When the badger swung around to hit Icesoul it also hit the den, and I was helplessly trapped inside. I felt the weight come down on my back and I lost my strenght and fell to the mossy ground with the den on top of me."Quailheart?" A nearly silent squeak to my ears, It was Icesoul calling my name. I tryed to move my way out from under the colapsed den, and shrunk back to the floor in a heep of fur.

"H-h-hel-lp" I had never once used this word, but thats was because I never needed to. The weight of the den was becoming unbarable, and the only thing I could think of was please starclan don't let me die, or at least let me see Frostbite one more time. The sound of rushing paws gave me the wile to survive. I blinked the dust from my eyes as more and more weight was removed from my back. I finally emerged from the broken den and as i stood all is mewed was "Thank you starclan." I stummbled over to Frostbite to plop down on his feet and purr loud enough for the entire forest to hear me, and heck I hope they did!

{{OMG I had a random surge of romantic, dieing, love and all that junk muse blast}}

Frostbite felt His mates small body fall on his paws. He had thought she had gotten away! Frostbite bent his head and licked her furously. You could have gotten yourself killed! The big white tom was sure he was licking her pelt off by now but he kept licking, speaking inbetween licks. I'm sorry. He whispered to her, He told her he was glad she was safe. Frostbite's legs collapsed from under him as his legs shoke with releif. Finally he stopped licking, and a purr exploded from his throat. Deep and rumbling, pround and releived, that this was his mate...

Icesoul

I untangled myself from the tree and stumbled over to my comrades as I watched the badger flee. My heart was still racing from the adrenaline and I found myself hissing as it ran. My claws were stained scarlet. I sheathed them once more. They slipped easily into my paws as I swayed back and forth on my heels, trying not to fall over. I stared at the ground beneath me, trying to steady myself. I failed as I flopped to the bracken beneath me. My breath came in ragged gasps. I shook my head to relieve the pain the badger's foot had caused. It worked for a short moment, but the head-ache came back with vengeance.

"Are you both unharmed?" I looked them over, not waiting for a reply. I answered myself: "Good," I stated. Now that we were all friends again I couldn't resist faking a weak purr. Let's be honest. I didn't want to purr. The pain was worse in my heart than in my pelt, but of course no cat could love me. Why? At that moment I saw my flaws and decided that the world around me wasn't where my weakness came from. It was in fact from me.

The corners of my mouth that I had held up so proudly fell. Perhaps this epiphany was one I didn't want to hear? I thought so. My winter-frost eyes blinked as if I had awoken from a strange dream and I lifted my paw ever so slightly off the ground before placing g it delicately back where it had sat before. The realization came and went in a second, though I seemed to ponder my thoughts for hours. My smile faded altogether and my tail hit the ground. I stared to the bracken-strewn floor in silent denial; quiet disbelief. My ears twitched. It must have been some kind of reflex, because I didn't know why my body did it. A reflex like crying or smiling or laughing, but one without meaning or purpose. Ear twitches seemed to have something in common with me.

No other cat would notice my sadness; no cat had seen my true colors. Or had loved me enough to try. Perhaps, to them, I was looking at the small drops of blood that had trickled down the side of my head as they dripped to the ground. Like scarlet raindrops... My mind ran blank for a moment. This was odd. I normally had plenty of opinions and such, but now... They all seemed like they wouldn't have any importance. I was losing my former ideas of how the world was. Losing love for the world in general. So far my life hadn't given me that much in return for what I gave it. The world had taken a mile an given me an inch; given me death. Sorrow. Heart-ache. I stood up uneasily trying not to slide back to the damp ground. This was hard as my legs felt soft and weak, almost like they couldn't support my own body. I hid my tears from the others. I stretched my mouth wide in a yawn (as my eyes watered when my jaws creaked wide enough) and exhaled a silent breath.

My heart shrank. I loved them both... I couldn't choose between them. I wanted to take both, but...

Quailheart
_________________________

I stared in awe at how gloriously brave the cats around me had been and in dissapontment I tought that all I could do was be a boring damsel in distress. I let out a slightly deppressed sigh, as Frostbite tore at my fur with his sandpaper tongue it made me feel better and I began to slightlu purr. I didn't mind being the center of attention but I did mind that everyone kept asking that same questions. "Are your OK?","did you get hurt?","what happened?" These question made my head spin in agervation, what was I to say, that I was in deep pain well that would be a lie, I was fine but if I told everyone that they would think I was weak.

"I'm fine just a small ache in my shoulder" this wasn't a lie frostbite tongue had begun to bruise my skin. I flicked frostbite ear with my tail for him to stop. I stretched my body acrossed Frostbites paws I purred louder that ever. I turned my head to whisper to Frostbite and for about three seconds (the longest three second of my life) our noses meet and i fell even deeper in love with him. I licked his head and curled up, I wrapped my tail around his neck so as to make him stay.

I drifted off into my mind and found myself standing in a small clearing, I looked around and saw a warrior, this warrior was none other than my dead mother. I stared at her for a long moment and then I raced toward her with tears drenching my cheeks, right before I reached her soft gray pelt she suddenly vanished. My surrounding drastically changed and I found myself standing in a pitch black graden with just a spot light shining directly on my gray-white pelt. I felt warm yet icey breath on the back of my neck and spun around, as I completely meet face to face with my beautiful mother the floor beneath me disappeared and I began to fall.

I awoke in the small of Frostbites neck, his head was rested on me and I slowly moved out from under his warm limp body. I padded werily across the clearing wondering how I had been moved to the warriors den with being woken. I grabbed a magpie from the fresh kill pile and walked over to the corner were I always ate. I dug my teeth into the magpie and the warm meat made my mouth begin to water on the inside. I finished off my magpie and decided to hunt for a little while.

As I stalked off toward the entrance I noticed an apprentice trying to stalk me out of camp. I spun around and licked his head me sigh because I had found him hiding behind that nursery. I changed my mind and layed in my corner and watched all the cats begin there routines It was funny to watch the apprentices wrestle in the dirt. I purred a little to loud and everyone starred at me in awe as if they were surprised I complaining about my shoulder.

Icesoul

My paws were numb as I trekked into the forest. I wanted to escape my problems somehow, but I knew I couldn't. Your problems follow you. You can never escape them. Only hide from them like a little coward. And now what? I was out "hunting". Not really. No. I was sitting in the crook of two brances that splayed out of a leafless tree. I stared down at countless frogs bouncing across the roots. A tear splashed down beside one. It made it's queer little sound and hopped away. The others echoed and followed it.

I had spent my whole night out here. Quailheart and Frostbite were probally wondering where I was. No. They're too smitten with eachother to even notice I exist... Let alone didn't come back to the den.

My head throbbed from the previous morning. I still remembered the badger's foul breath as it reared up. I remembered it so clearly. As if it was happening then. I flinched. My movement had startled the raven that sat in a tree nearby. It croaked it's call. Clumsy, and distressed... Nothing could get worse, right? Wrong. Why? Just because I'm Icesoul.
