The Warriors Forest is a 4 year old *mostly* traditional warriors role-playing site, set more or less in the old forest (think first series). Though we don't have a Tribe of Rushing Water, we do have all other clans and, of course, loners, rogues, and kittypets. Ranging from beginner to advanced, with lots of intermediate, we have a role-playing school that can help you with anything from mechanics to length. Currently, we have no plot, but hopefully one will be in the making soon. For any further questions, please feel free to ask around or contact any one of the staff, who will be happy to help.

Something so profound, something you won't expect take this scripture like a picture and wear it around your neck the sky it opens up don't get swallowed by the flames what's mine is yours and yours is mine so take me away
A light breeze danced through the pine trees, making an eerie noise. A small cat jumped. Frightened, the small cat looked around, checking her surroundings. The wind passed through again, and she settled. She carefully placed a tiny paw in front of the other, and crept through the dark woodland. The cat's jet black pelt hid her well in the night, but her pale blue eyes could have given her away if any other cat was near. Her jaws gaped open, and she scented the air. ShadowClan scent was strong, but there were no Clan cats here, not now. Fear was vivid in her eyes, and once in a while she would shiver, as if she was being watched. An owl screeched in the distance, making the cat glance around once more.
you hear the sounds, they're carried out there's no sympathy for the dead it swells and I, was never the same there's no sympathy for the dead we dance like zombies do in the middle of the rain
"I should not be here." The words came out in the quietest of whispers. Alas, it was true. She should not be within a clan's territory. At least, not alone. The memory of the last time she had stepped over the borders of a clan, making her flinch. Crack! Her foot landed on a twig, and she quickly dove next to a tree for cover. The she-cat's eyes were wide in fear, and she was shaking. Her thoughts exploded in three words. Calm down, Arrow! In truth, she couldn't calm herself down. But she was trying hard. Arrow pressed herself against the tree, hopefully hiding her if a ShadowClan cat came looking for her. After a few moments, her fur started to lay flat on her back, and she carefully stepped away from her tree, continuing to walk. She was watching the ground now, making sure she didn't step on any more twigs. The cat glanced around quickly, looking for any other cats' eyes focused on her. Nothing. She uttered a prayer to StarClan under her breath.

Frostbite had been in a tall pine tree on look out for intruders. There had been some strange scents recently around this area. He was about to doze off when he scented the air again. Theres that smell again! Frostbite looked around, his lumonous yellow eyes showing through the night air. Just then he heard a loud snapping noise, he just about jumped out of his pelt. But it was just a twig...Wait just a twig snapping in the middle of a forest, with all my clan mates at camp? Frostbite looked down to see a small black shape race toward his tree. He froze. This cat didnt seem like a threat so he wouldnt hurt her. When she walked on he quietly sneaked down the tree to fallow her. The cat was keeping her eyes on her paws, so she wouldnt know Frostbite was there. This should be fun. Quickening his pace to were he was practically walking beside her. He matched his step with hers. Ya know if this was any cat but me out here you would be crow food right?

Rippedshadow
Rippedshadow's paws still felt heavy from tiredness as he walked out of camp, blinking the sleep from his green eyes. He was walking with a fast gait, his head head swining and his fluffy tail lashing behind him, but every step was silent.
As he walked through ShadowClan territory his eyes glinted with pride for his clan. ShadowClan was the best, he knew it. The other clans were scared, you could see the fear in their eyes when the mighty ShadowClan walked by them at gatherings, their noses held haughtily in the air. As he slunk through the black forest, his thick, black pelt blending perfectly, a white shape passed through his vision.
He froze and scented the air... Frostbite. 'Ugh,' he thought with degust, 'Not that mouse-brain.' He was going to keep walking past him, surprisingly deciding not to pick a fight with the bigger white tom, not that he was scared of a cat who wasn't Clan born. Then he realized Frostbite was speaking.
"Ya know if this was any cat but me out here you would be crow food right?"
Rippedshadow narrowed his emerald eyes and followed the sound of the tom's voice through the undergrowth. He spotted the white tom, padding calmly next to a small, nervous looking black cat. And this was no ShadowClan cat! Rage and a bit of smug satisfaction surged through his pelt... He would get Frostbite for breaking the warrior code!
Rippedshadow stepped from his hiding place, his lips curling over his sharp fangs in a silent snarl. He was facing the two cats, claws unsheathed and pelt bristling as he spat, "Like me." His eyes darted from the black she-cat and Frostbite, ready for anything.

"Ya know if this was any cat but me out here you would be crow food right?" The voice startled Arrow, and she turned to face a white tomcat with bright yellow eyes. Fear flared through her eyes and mind, and she was literally scared for her life, remembering what happened last time. Last time she had tresspassed, and she wouldn't forget that in a heartbeat. She shook with fright, hoping that it would not happen again. "Like me." came a new voice, that made her hope disintegrate as if it were never there. She froze on the spot she stood, and stared at the black tom who had just appeared.
Her claws slowly unsheathed themselves as she got prepared if she needed to try and fight her way out of this. She could have so easily avoided coming to ShadowClan territory, but she had chose to. This was her fault. "I.. I'm just passing through." she mewed helplessly. Her voice had cracked in fear on the last word, and she hoped the tomcats wouldn't harm her. If she couldn't get away from two she-cats, she would deffinatley not get away from two big toms. Arrow was fearing for her life, fearing that she wouldn't ever see the light of the daytime. But surely, ShadowClan cat's hearts couldn't be that cold as to kill her. She was alone, and she didn't think she was posing as a threat. Especially to two cats that were much bigger then herself.

Frostbite stopped in his tracks as he heard the meow of Rippedshadow. Look you worthless lump of crow-food. Stay out of this. Does it look like this scawny loner could do any damage? Shes frightened out of her mind. And your not helping. Go back to sleep. It might do ya some good. Frostbite had a burning hatrid for the small black tom. His yellow eyes went back to the small black cat. He pleaded with his eyes for her not to take offense to what he had said. He took a big step forward, his eyes now on the small black tom. daring him to come any closer. Frostbite was just trying to handle his little incident with care. He wasnt making friends. Just showing her out. That is it. A growl rose in his throat. It was deep, dark, and the most threatening sound he had made in a long long time... Come any closer, and I'll rip you to shreds. I can take care of this!...

Rippedshadow hissed at the white tom, his tail rising straight into the air. He took a step forward. 'How dare this outsider insult me?!' he roared in his head. No, no, no, no! He was not having that crap.
He snarled, "It would be just like you to help out this mangy loner, you being one!" His voice was rising into a loud yowl, probably raging through the rest of ShadowClan territory and the territories beyond. "If you want to be a ShadowClan warrior then do it right! Chase her out, show no mercy." He spat the last part of his sentence threateningly down to the small, black she-cat. Did she really think that she could get away with this? As if ShadowClan was so totally clueless?! Indeed! She would learn.

Yes, she was scared beyond imagination, but she could try to make herself seem the slightest bit tough. Along with the fear in her eyes, a glint of danger appeared. She didn't care about the white tom, but the black one, she had utter hatrid for. "So, you think you're tough threatening a small cat like me? I'd be ashamed of myself." she growled, glaring directly into the black toms eyes. She was still deathly afraid of him, but she sumed up the courage.

"So, you think you're tough threatening a small cat like me? I'd be ashamed of myself."
"Ha!" Rippedshadow said aloud, and he was truly amused by the loner's bravery. Did she really think that she could make it out of this situation unscathed, even with the help of Frostbite? He wanted to throw his black head back and laugh. Instead, he said coolly, "I'm not the trespasser, you are." He knew that this she-cat posed no threat to him, and Frostbite wouldn't for much longer after Hollowstar got wind of this little happening.
He turned his gaze to Frostbite and continued, "What will it be? The warrior code or a loner's way?" He smirked as his eyes glittered and sparked with malice, he lived for this kind of tension.

That mangy tom had done it. He was now screwed beyond imagination. All the hatred Frostbite had for the black cat came boiling, coming out of his teeth and claws. His words were simple but any cat in his right mind would have turned tail and run for his dear life. I will show NO mercy!!!!!! Frostbite turned back to the small loner and growled ferociously at her. but in a small whisper he told her to get back. Swishing his tail back and forth vigoursly. He could see the fear and threat in the small she-cats eyes. Taking a step forward, then quickly swipping back around to Rippedshadow. You'll be sorry you were ever kitted. And I dont give a rats tail if Hollowstar does kick me out. I WILL NOT stand here and let some inocent cat get killed. Not again! Frostbite leaped forward, aiming a blow for Rippedshadows eyes...

"Ha! I'm not the trespasser, you are. What will it be? The warrior code or a loner's way?" the black cat had said. Arrow was glaring at him. "I will show NO mercy!!!!!!" Arrow was scared at the white toms words. Would he really attack her, kill her? He growled at her, but she heard the words get back in his menacing action. Arrow took a few steps back. "You'll be sorry you were ever kitted. And I dont give a rats tail if Hollowstar does kick me out. I WILL NOT stand here and let some inocent cat get killed. Not again!" As the last word rolled of of the white toms' tongue, Arrow watched as he aimed a blow towards his clanmates eyes. She knew enough about the clans that this could get a cat kicked out of a clan faster then she could say 'mouse'. She wasn't sure whether or not she should run or stay. But something held her back from fleeing. All she could do was stare in horror. What was all the fuss about a simple rogue? She moved back a few more steps, knowing well that this was going to get bloody, and hopefully it wouldn't be her blood, and deep in her mind she hoped it was the black tom's. Oh, StarClan. Why have I caused this trouble? she pondered.

"You'll be sorry you were ever kitted. And I dont give a rats tail if Hollowstar does kick me out. I WILL NOT stand here and let some inocent cat get killed. Not again!"
Rippedshadow watched at Frostbite lept at him, his paws stretched forward and claws out. Rippedshadow crouched low and skittered to the side, his black pelt bristling and a hiss mixed with a snarl escaping his jaws. He turned to look at his "Clanmate". He wasn't really sure what Frostbite was, he wanted to join ShadowClan but he obviously didn't want to live by the sacred warrior code. Well, Rippedshadow would take care of that.
As Rippedshadow readied himself to run back to camp, straight to Hollowstar's den, he hissed over his shoulder, "You won't be here much longer, then you can go live with your precious loners." He lashed his tail and bounded into the forest, too quickly for Frostbite and especially the loner to catch up with him.
He may look like a coward now, but who would be running from ShadowClan territory with their tail between their legs tomorrow? This thought pleased Rippedshadow.

Frostbite hadnt been prepared for Rippedshadow to step aside. Whne he landed he skidded to one side. The small black tom had began to run away, before he got to far he yelled over his shoulder, "You won't be here much longer, then you can go live with your precious loners." Obviously Rippedshadow thought that his words bothered him. Well they didnt. He has said it before and he would say it a million times over. HE DID NOT GIVE A RATS TAIL! You coward come back here and face me! Thats right keep running you worthless Kitty-pet! Frostbite yowled the words at him with a evil sneer. Turning back to the loner he said to her in a more kind, soft voice, the fallowing: I'm sorry you had to see that. My name is Frostbite, and we need to get you outta here before that kitty-pet comes back... Frostbite swipped his white tail from side to side, motioning for her to fallow...

Arrow watched as the black tom moved aside, and the white tom skidded to a halt on the ground. The big, black tom started to head off in a direction where many cat scents came from. "You won't be here much longer, then you can go live with your precious loners." he hollered over his shoulder. The she-cat was in shock. She had no idea why the black cat had left, or what he was going to do. Would he tell his clan leader about her being there, and the white tom attacking the black tom? Probably, she guessed. "You coward come back here and face me! Thats right keep running you worthless Kitty-pet!" yowled the white cat, then he added, "I'm sorry you had to see that. My name is Frostbite, and we need to get you outta here before that kitty-pet comes back... " The tom gestured for her to follow him, but she didn't know whether or not she could trust him. In a few seconds, she made her choice, and followed 'Frostbite'. "My name is Arrow." she meowed calmly. The fear in her eyes weakened, and was replaced by distrust and wonder. Frostbite could have just chased her away instead of starting a dispute with the other cat. Clearly, they didn't like each other though. Maybe that had something to do with it.

Well Arrow, fallow me. Frostbite began to walk toward the boarder. The cool wind ruffled his long pelt. His massive paws crunched pine needles as he walked. Glancing over his shoulder ever once in a while to make sure Arrow was fallowing. He may have been having a nice spell but if she ran away, he would have to find her and sadly, kill her.
When they reached the border, Frostbite heard a small mouse scuffleing amongst the large tree roots. Smoothly he glidded into a hunters crouch, pin pointing the mouse. Frostbite wriggled his haunches and pounced on the mouse, quickly killing it. The large white tom carried the mouse back to Arrow and dropped it at her paws. Here, take this and go quickly...

"Well Arrow, fallow me." the white tom said. The wind ruffled his fur as he spoke, and she obeyed without a word. Frostbite glanced back to her every once in a while, but it wasn't like she was going anywhere. Not now, when there could be clan cats about wanting to harm her. The tom dropped low to the ground in a place where the scent of cats was sharp. A moment later, he dropped a mouse at her paws. Arrow blinked at him in a kind way. "Here, take this and go quickly..." he told her. The small black she-cat grasped the mouse in her jaws, and continued to walk. After a few steps, she turned around, dropping the mouse the tom had given her. She blinked at him. "Thank you.." she mewed. "You have shown me kindness, and I thank StarClan it was you who had seen me first, instead of your clanmate. I hope all the best for you, Frostbite. May StarClan be with you." The only way to appreciate kindness was to give it back, she thought. Arrow bent down her head, picked up the mouse, and turned around to continue on her way.
