this has gotta be the good life
IT WAS ONE OF THOSE PLACES THAT you didn’t necessarily love to be, but that you had to show your apprentice. Junebug knew this. Braveheart had brought him here to show him the caves, dark, mysterious, and terrifying, relatively early in his apprentice days. They were a place of refuge, sometimes for ShadowClan, and other times for creatures that you would rather not run into. Anyway, he had reasoned with himself that he didn’t really need to take Dewpaw in too far. They could look around the outside of the caves, and then they could practice some hunting in the woods outside of them. They had been checked for intruders recently and there had been none, and today seemed as good as any to come out to them. It was the first bright, sunny day they’d had in a long time, and the caves looked slightly less terrifying in broad daylight.
JUNEBUG WONDERED WHY LONGSTAR had given him an apprentice. Well, okay, he didn’t really wonder. He knew that the clan was stretched for mentors right now. He’d even had to share Braveheart during the later moons of his training because of the stretch, and he had been trained in part by Goosefeather, who wasn’t really in the shape to take someone on but who had been willing to help out when things were tight. Now that he had a couple of moons as a warrior under his belt, he was being thrown right in. She was his first apprentice! He was overjoyed. He didn’t necessarily feel ready, but his desire to be the best mentor he could be for her outweighed his nervousness. Any doubts he had about his ability were overshadowed by his excitement that he would get to be a part of this young cat’s life. He smiled to himself.
HE WAITED SOME DISTANCE OUTSIDE OF THE CAMP, at a large rock where he had asked her to meet him. He had decided that it was preferable to meet away from the camp. That way she could wake up and do whatever she needed before she felt like she needed to talk to him. If she was hungry she could eat, and go and do whatever and maybe talk to her siblings. He lounged on the rock, enjoying the sunlight that filtered through the trees and onto his side. It was a lovely day for training an apprentice.we all got our stories but please tell me
what there is to complain about
