[attr="class","twfptcontent"] Though we're already mid-way through September (??? how), it still feels like the end of summer here in Switzerland - days in the mid-80s, long sunsets, and leaves still green and clinging onto trees. While I'm not one for heat, I'm enjoying the end of this summer weather, even while I'm looking forward to fall. Ironically, the weather on WF seems to be mimicking this reality... [attr="class","twfpth1"]SEASON CHANGE: [attr="class","twfpth2"]autumn 2023! As of September 1st, WF is officially in fall! Though it started off hot, it's mellowed out to a long stretch of warm, pleasant days that will last all the way through October. It'll start getting colder in November, but for now, the temperatures are ideal. Unfortunately, the Clans are finding it hard to enjoy themselves or even begin preparing for winter, because the humans are back in the forest... The next season change, to winter, will occur on December 1st. [attr="class","twfpth1"]NEW HIGH RANKS [attr="class","twfpth2"]summermoon / rc & asterheart / sc It's with great pleasure that I'm welcoming back two very familiar faces to our high-ranks: jackelyn with Summermoon as RiverClan's new deputy; and andromeda with Asterheart as ShadowClan's medicine cat! While Asterheart was the previous medicine cat apprentice and, though still young, is well-positioned to take up the mantle, Summermoon is untried by comparison - but certainly not lacking. Only time will tell how these two will fit into their Clans and what kind of influence they're going to bring, but there's no doubt that we're all looking forward to it! [attr="class","twfpth1"]AUDITIONS ROUND #4 [attr="class","twfpth2"]are open until september 24th We are still auditioning for the following positions: WindClan deputy and ShadowClan deputy. New members, we encourage you to audition for any position you like! [attr="class","twfpth1"]CLAN MEETINGS [attr="class","twfpth2"]in thunder, river and shadow The Clan meetings for 2023 have kicked off in earnest! If you haven't already, check them out and jump in when you can - in addition to being a lot of fun, it's a great way to get a sense of where the Clans and characters are after the relaunch and under the effects of Event 14.0. As a general reminder, only one meeting per Clan is guaranteed each year. If you have ceremonies/other requests for the TC, RC and SC leaders, please PM + JAMIE, chill or Minteh Freshness respectively to make sure your request is fulfilled. Otherwise, you will have to wait until 2024. The WindClan meeting will take place in late fall or winter; the BloodClan meeting should be released this month or next. If There Were Only Water : We start with ThunderClan in the heat of early July, just after the end of the second spring capture and in the midst of preparing themselves for the seemingly inevitable return of the humans. Saltstar, older than he's ever seemed before, is asking for ideas from his Clan about how they can prepare and survive; and though opinions on the best course of action are divided, the Clan is as passionate as ever, unwilling to take their fate lying down - even while they reel from their losses. Let's Hope the Sun Will Show Us the Path : RiverClan's meeting comes mid-August, Tidestar's first since receiving her lives. Though weighed down by the tragic loss of Sootstar and her unorthodox promotion, she lets none of her doubts show when she calls her Clan to gather. Despite the sobering fact that they must also discuss their human-inflicted losses, there is also a surprising amount of excitement in the air - because nothing is quite as distracting and entertaining as wondering who Tidestar is going to appoint as her new deputy... It's the Shadows That Will Prevail : ShadowClan's meeting has just started, and Brackenstar cuts a solitary figure as he waits for his Clan to arrive, the only high-rank left out of a formerly unshakeable group. Still, he's done a remarkable job holding the Clan together over the past couple of months, even though his lives ceremony was the opposite of smooth. And though he stands alone, ready to announce Asterpaw's promotion and discuss the re-emerged human threat, he is calm and confident instead of shaken or burdened - a tom with conviction that this (finally!) is where he's always been meant to be. [attr="class","twfpth1"]EVENT 14.0 FALL CAPTURE #2 [attr="class","twfpth2"]sept. 04 to nov. 17 The second and final capture phase of Save a Stray, Save a Bird has officially begun. The Stray Cat Society is back in the forest and trapping with renewed enthusiasm, since they know this is their last chance to eradicate the cat colonies living on the nature preserve. They are spreading out over the territories, even in areas they'd previously avoided or ignored, and no creature in the vicinity - even non-felines - are safe. OOCly, please remember that if you want to start an IC thread that takes advantage of this final capture phase and event, now is the time! The end of the event will arrive before you know it, so if there's a cat you want captured, or some drama/setting you want to play out, don't hesitate. And, of course, feel free to take creative liberties when it comes to the humans, traps, and other details. [attr="class","twfpth1"]OFFICIAL CAPTURE LIST [attr="class","twfpth2"]a useful reference This is a reminder that the official capture list has been posted in the Event 14.0 outline thread, noting characters that have been captured and when. While you can post in this thread in order to be added to the list, I will also automatically update the list depending on comments in other locations. For specific Clan lists started by the leaders, please check-out the following: SC captured, passed away, or in the background / 14.0 RiverClan status / Captured TC members. Importantly, any pre-relaunch character not reclaimed by Nov. 17 will be automatically added to the Official Capture list for their Clan (unless you have specified another ending for them). This means if you have not indicated any ending or fate for your unreclaimed characters, I will assign them to a random capture time and, ICly, they will have gone missing and subsequently be considered captured by their Clan. If you do NOT want this to happen to your unreclaimed characters, please send me a PM directly. More details on how this will be enacted will be released in November, around or after the conclusion of Event 14.0. [attr="class","twfpth1"]SEPTEMBER AGE CHANGE [attr="class","twfpth2"]+1 moon to all characters On September 3rd, all accepted characters aged one moon. (Characters accepted on or after this date were, of course, not included.) If you want to change your character's age, you can do so in the shop (𖤓50 to add or subtract one moon). The next moon change will occur on January 3rd, 2024. [attr="class","twfpth1"]RECLAIM YOUR THREADS [attr="class","twfpth2"]all limits lifted All limits have been lifted on the number of IC threads you can reclaim. This means that you can now reclaim as many IC threads as you want, regardless of the purpose. Everyone is doing a pretty good job at pacing themselves and not overcommitting, so I'm quite happy about this change and hope that it allows some of you to pick up more threads that you're interested in finishing!
