Kestrelgaze
Patience was not a virtue of hers. She could appear patient with her tenacity and determination, but patience had never actually graced her with its presence. If it was a learned characteristic, then there was still hope yet, if not, then she was doomed in that aspect.
And so, it was without patience that Kestrelpaw waited on her mentor for their training session. Technically, almost every moment of every day was a training session for a medicine cat apprentice, with being told snippets her and there about certain herbs, going through herbs to find old ones that just needed to be thrown away, how to treat certain wounds or illnesses as they came in, where to find herbs as they went out into the territory. There wasn’t a day, yet that Kestrelpaw hadn’t learned something new, but there were days when she and her mentor, Burningshade, would sit down and go over something to make sure Kestrelpaw got it fully. Today was one of those days.
The fluffy brown tabby sat within the crevice between the two boulders that made up their den. Or at least, part of it. It was the entrance, and it housed their nests and the herbs they kept stored, but behind that was their little clearing that housed several nests for their patients and a water supply so those said patients didn’t have to wander far for a drink of water. And if those patients couldn’t get up, it at least wasn’t far for Burningshade or Kestrelpaw to get moss soaked for their clanmates.
As she waited, trying to be patient, she let her green gaze wander into that clearing, thinking about what her tortoiseshell mentor had mentioned they would be going over today. Kestrel wasn’t much of a daydreamer, she left that to kits and idiots, but was more practical in nature. She thought about all she had learned already, recalling the things she’d heard mentions of but hadn’t been taught in full about yet, and worked on some questions she might need to bring up today or in the near future if her mentor didn’t cover them today.

Ooc || General training thread! Figured since she's 11 moons, she has been trained a bit already, but I know it takes MCs a lot longer to learn everything than it does a warrior lol Be ready for her to ask about training in defense and battle and hunting by the end of this too!
